IPPS Resident Scholarship in Pelvic Pain Education

Helping residents and fellows expand their education in the evaluation and management of pelvic pain through participation in the IPPS Annual Scientific Meeting.

About the Scholarship

This award is designed to promote resident or fellow education on the topic of pelvic pain. Residents or fellows may apply in order to attend the IPPS Annual Scientific Meeting and learn more about evaluation and management of pelvic pain.

Applications are accepted from all fields of medicine directly involved in patient care, as long as the applicant's work includes some component related to the care of pelvic pain patients. One recipient is selected per meeting.

Eligibility

  • Must be an IPPS Trainee Member.
  • Eligible trainees include residents, fellows, medical students, or other trainees with a post-doctoral degree.
  • Must register for and attend the IPPS Annual Scientific Meeting.

Application Requirements

  • Curriculum vitae (CV)
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • One recommendation must be a nomination from the applicant's program director
  • A brief personal statement of 250 words or fewer describing how the applicant's educational goals can be fulfilled by attending the IPPS meeting

Conditions

This scholarship may be received in conjunction with other awards. For example, a trainee may apply for both this scholarship and the PAR award.

Previous recipients may not reapply. Applicants who previously applied but did not receive the award may apply again.

Designed to Support the Next Generation of Pelvic Pain Professionals

The scholarship gives trainees the opportunity to learn directly from the multidisciplinary pelvic pain community at the IPPS Annual Scientific Meeting while supporting continued education in this specialized field.
