Biography

I established my own solo private practice in gynecologic pain management in 2003.  I was trained as an OB/Gyn and practice academic medicine for the first ten years of my career in Philadelphia and then at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.  I currently specialize in the management of pelvic pain in both men and women.  My practice involves minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, and neuromodulation.  I evaluate and manage pelvic pain in both men and women daily.  I typically see 500 new patients a year, specializing in peripheral nerve pain, pudendal neuralgia, Interstitial Cystitis, vulvodynia, pelvic congestion syndrome, endometriosis, chronic overlapping pain conditions, recurrent vaginitis and lichen sclerosus.   I am currently a primary investigator in a project developing a patient reported quality of life instrument sponsored by the Society of Interventional Radiology.  I am a Past President of the IPPS, have served on the Board of Directors, and am the cofounder and on the Board of Directors of the Pudendal Neuralgia Association.
