Biography
Dr. Lamvu is a Gynecologic Surgeon and Pelvic Pain Specialist who maintains an active educational role within the University of Central Florida as a Professor and Director of the Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Orlando VA Healthcare System, a position she has had for *** years.
Dr. Lamvu's research includes randomized clinical trials focusing on vulvodynia, chronic pelvic pain, post-operative pain and other surgical outcomes in women living with chronic pain.
She is the recipient of several Teaching a academic excellence awards. In her educational role, Dr. Lamvu has mentored numerous medical students, residents, and fellows in research methodology and career development. Her impressive body of work includes over 60 peer-reviewed publications and more than 100 national and international presentations, posters, abstract, and videos, on the topic of pelvic pain. Her research is currently funded by the DoD and NIH.
She also serves as Chair of the Board for the International Pelvic Pain Society and has been a Past President of the organization.
