Dr. Lamvu holds both her undergraduate and medical degrees from Duke University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy and Pelvic Pain at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (UNC). Additionally, she earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from UNC.
Currently, she is a Gynecologic Surgeon and Pelvic Pain Specialist at the Orlando VA healthcare system where she also serves as the Director of the Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgery (FMIGS).
Dr. Lamvu actively contributes to research and education as a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Central Florida. Her research and publications encompass a of variety of study designs, including randomized clinical trials focusing on chronic pelvic pain, postoperative pain, endometriosis, and vulvodynia. She has more than 60 peer reviewed publications and 100 national and international presentations on these topics.
Notably, she holds the position of Chair of the Board for the International Pelvic Pain Society. In this role, she is a fierce advocate for improving the healthcare of persons living with chronic pelvic pain.
