Biography

Debbie is an occupational therapist specializing in pelvic health therapy since 1996. Debbie has started three successful private practice pelvic health programs and has owned a private practice pelvic health clinic as well. Debbie is currently the clinical director at Vita Fitness & Physical Therapy in Milwaukee, WI which has been recognized as Milwaukee's top physical therapy and personal training facility. In 2024 Debbie was named best OT from the Sheperd Express, a Milwaukee news publication. She is a co-chair of the Milwaukee Integrative Medicine group along with a MD and Naturopath.

The conditions Debbie treats include bladder and bowel dysfunction, abdominopelvic pain, prolapse, pregnancy & postpartum and prostate cancer pre and post-surgical & radiation treatments.

Debbie is a mentor to therapists in her community and has been invited to speak to several organizations including internationally.

She has served on the board of the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS) and currently is on the advisory board of the IPPS. Debbie was previously on the executive board of the Biofeedback Certification Alliance (BCIA).

Biography

I am an AAGL fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who specializes in the care and treatment of pelvic pain and complex gynecologic surgery. I currently provide care for Veterans at the Orlando VA Medical Center, treating conditions such as endometriosis, pain related to vaginal mesh procedures, myofascial pelvic floor pain, interstitial cystitis, and pelvic neuralgias and pudendal neuralgia.

Prior to working at the VA, I was part of a multidisciplinary chronic pelvic pain practice that specialized in treated pudendal neuralgia. My other interest include medical student education and I was the OBGYN clerkship director at Creighton University School of Medicine for 8 years. I also served as President of the International Pelvic Pain Society 2021 and Co-chair of the Membership and Marketing Committee and look forward to helping members engage with the society.

Biography

Dr. Lamvu is a Gynecologic Surgeon and Pelvic Pain Specialist who maintains an active educational role within the University of Central Florida as a Professor and Director of the Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Orlando VA Healthcare System.

Dr. Lamvu's research includes randomized clinical trials focusing on vulvodynia, chronic pelvic pain, post-operative pain and other surgical outcomes in women living with chronic pain.

She is the recipient of several Teaching a academic excellence awards. In her educational role, Dr. Lamvu has mentored numerous medical students, residents, and fellows in research methodology and career development. Her impressive body of work includes over 60 peer-reviewed publications and more than 100 national and international presentations, posters, abstract, and videos, on the topic of pelvic pain. Her research is currently funded by the DoD and NIH.

She also serves as Chair of the Board for the International Pelvic Pain Society and has been a Past President of the organization.

Biography

Alexandra T. Milspaw has been practicing counseling and providing educational seminars and trainings since 2007. Dr. Milspaw is a licensed professional counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist. She earned a Master’s and Doctoral degree in Human Sexuality from Widener University and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Human Services from Lehigh University.

She is certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Consulting Hypnosis, and the Explain Pain educational program from the Neuro-Orthopeadic Institute of Australia. Dr. Milspaw is a Certified 4-D Wheel Practitioner and currently serves as the Vice-President of the 4-D Network (www.4-dnetwork.com).

The 4-D Wheel is a four-dimensional approach to understanding, exploring, and discovering all aspects of our human experience. The 4-D Wheel is specifically helpful when addressing not only the effect of chronic pain and trauma on our lives, but also highlights the need for a comprehensive, interdisciplinary treatment approach.

Dr. Milspaw has been in private practice since 2009, serving both individuals and relationships navigating trauma, chronic pain, and sexual dysfunction. She also serves as a Board Member and the Chair of the Clinical Foundations Training Course for the International Pelvic Pain Society.

She is a co-manager of the Pelvic Messenger Podcast, which provides evidence-based interviews with specialists around the world on chronic pelvic and sexual pain disorders. She also provides annual trainings for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and Pennsylvania County Bar Associations on the neurobiology of trauma and stress, how to foster resilience and reduce burnout, and how to support trauma victims in the courtroom.

Dr. Milspaw is passionate about bridging the gap between the psychological and medical worlds. She seeks to utilize evidence-based research to highlight the connection between the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual experiences as a way of empowering clinicians and clients alike to trust the healing potential within everyone.

Biography

Howard Sharp MD he is a tenured professor and vice chair for clinical activities in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Utah Health, where he has practiced since 1995. He has served as president of the International Pelvic Pain Society (2009), and has held positions as chair of the FDA, gynecology device panel, chair of AGOG’s Practice Bulletin and Clinical Document Review committees.

Dr. Sharp completed a pelvic and laparoscopic surgery fellowship in 1995. His areas of interest include myofascial pain, pelvic vascular pain, dyspareunia, and centralized pelvic pain management. He is performed over 500 vestibulectomies.

Amy Stein, DPT, BCB-PMD, IF, author of the award-winning book, Heal Pelvic Pain and of Beating Endo: How to Reclaim Your Life from Endometriosis, and creator of the video, Healing Pelvic and Abdominal Pain: The ultimate home program for patients and a guide for practitioners, is a leading expert in pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, women’s health, and functional manual therapy for men, women, and children.

She is the founder and owner of Beyond Basics Physical Therapy in New York City, with locations both in midtown and downtown, served as President and on the Board of the International Pelvic Pain Society, and now chairs that organization's Past Presidents Committee and sits on its Advisory Board.

Stein is a co-editor of Healing in Urology and has contributed to numerous medical textbooks, including Pelvic Pain Management, Female Sexual Pain Disorders: Evaluation and Management, Management of Sexual Dysfunction in Men and Women, and The Overactive Pelvic Floor.

Biography:

Kathryn Witzeman, MD is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Witzeman joined Grand River Health in 2023 after 19 years on faculty at Denver Health in Denver, CO.

Dr. Witzeman has served on the Board of Directors of the International Pelvic Pain Society since 2014, and currently serves on the Advisory Board and Past President’s Committee after 5 years on the Executive Board.

In 2008, Dr. Witzeman founded the Integrated Pelvic Health Program at Denver Health Medical Center and served as its director until 2023. Her clinical interests include vulvovaginal disorders, menstrual disorders, menopausal problems, pelvic pain, integrative medicine, and biomedical ethics as is applies to the field of OBGYN.

She speaks nationally and internationally on topics of pelvic pain and integrative medicine. Dr. Witzeman completed her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati SOM and subsequently completed her OBGYN residency training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

She is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of OBGYN. Dr. Witzeman completed the APGO Scholars and Leaders program in 2012 and graduated from the University of Arizona Integrative Medicine Fellowship in 2018.
